Things that were, things that are, and things that yet may be...

Once I settled on the maze and chase idea, I started to play with the idea in my head.  To begin with, I found a normal maze on google and edited it to my own needs.  I pulled out a bunch of walls so as to not create a one way path, because that would turn the whole thing into a death trap, and then I started to think of how to expand the idea.  The big green dot is where the player starts, and the blue one is the exit.  The idea was that it would not be the only exit however.  The red dots around the edges where to be fake exits, that teleported you back to the start while leaving the shadow where it was.  The idea was it could both hinder and help, as a setback or a quick escape if the shadow was too close to comfort.  Another idea I wanted was to randomize the starting location of the shadow so you never knew where it would come from.  And yet another passed idea was to record your time through, if just to add even a small competitive aspect of getting out alive the fastest.  These, along with the hopes of adding colliders at certain point in the maze to trigger jump scares such as shrieks or ghosts darting between walls, unfortunately did not make it into what you see here.  It's 2020, and between sickness and a move time ran out on me.  However, at some point I do plan to come back and try to add these and possibly more features as I learn.  But it seems unlikely to happen until after the course is finished and I have more free time to do so.
